Meet Dr. Kuball
Dr. Kuball was born and raised in St. Joseph, Michigan and graduated
from St. Joseph High School. After attending Michigan State University,
he graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
He served as a dentist in the U.S. Air Force for two years at
Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, D.C. Through the Air Force,
he received additional training in a prosthetic dentistry residency
at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Kuball opened his general dental practice in St. Joseph in
1973. While his focus has been on preventive and restorative dentistry,
he has taken more than 800 hours of continuing education courses
in orthodontics and is a Charter Member of the American Association
for Functional Orthodontics.
Dr. Kuball is a member and past president of the Lakeland Valley
District Dental Society, a component of the Michigan and American
Dental Associations. He is a member of the Academy of General
Dentistry, and received his Fellowship Award in 1995. This award
is earned by dentists who complete over 1000 hours of continuing
education coursework and pass a six-hour written test. He is also
a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the world’s
premier organization for training dentists in cosmetic procedures.
Recently, Dr. Kuball and his three assistants completed extensive
training with the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum at the University
of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. This training
was on the subject of Complete Smile Makeovers, also known as
"Smile Design".
Dr. Kuball is married, has three daughters, and resides in St.
Joseph.
Meet Dr. Johansen
Dr. Johansen was born and raised in Southwestern Michigan and
graduated from Berrien Springs High School. He went on to graduate
from Taylor University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology,
and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, earning
a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
For the past several years, Dr. Johansen has been working as a
general dentist and Director of the Dental Program for the Van
Buren/Cass County District Health Department.
Dr. Johansen brings to our community and office a particular interest
in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics as well
as in orthodontics, implant and restorative dentistry.

Our staff has been selectively chosen for their high level of
technical excellence and their dedication to staying current with
the newest and most efficient techniques in dental care. We are
all motivated to provide the highest quality dental care in a
kind and friendly manner and pride ourselves on our prompt service
when you arrive for your appointment.
Our
periodental therapists (to the right on the top left) are
Jeannine and Melanie. Our Treatment Coordinator/Facilitator (top
right) is Tammy. Our three dental assistants (lower right, listed
from left to right) are Lisa, Connie and Nancy.
